President Ruto has conve conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
“We extend our sincere condolences to Tiaty Member of Parliament Hon. William Kamket and his family following the loss of their beloved son, Bill Ballot Kassait Jr. It is deeply painful to lose a young life filled with promise and potential. “Go well, Bill Junior Ballot. Your light will forever remain in our hearts,” Kakuko wrote. “May the Almighty grant Hon. William Kamket and his wife, Immaculate Kassait, the strength, comfort, and peace to endure this painful loss. May they find grace to mourn their beloved son and courage to carry on in his memory.”
Friends, colleagues, and well-wishers have taken to social media to offer messages of support, prayers, and comfort to the family during this difficult period.
Kamket has served as the MP of Tiaty in Baringo County since 2004, when he first became a legislator.
He served in the National Assembly from 2004 to 2007, and later returned to the National Assembly in 2017, where he has served to date, having been elected on the independence party, KANU ticket.
Kamket, who also served as the Speaker of Baringo County Assembly between 2013 and 2017, has in recent months emerged as one of the fiercest defenders of President William Ruto’s administration
